Stephen writes a stats and records analysis column covering college football and basketball, as well as the NBA and NFL drafts, and Formula 1 racing for SuperWest Sports.

A voting member of the Football Writers Association of America, Vilardo hails from Bloomington, Indiana, and graduated with a degree in Sports Communications from Indiana University.

He serves as the Public Address Announcer for 11 IU programs, including water polo, which competes along with Pac-12 water polo programs in the MPSF. Vilardo is also the announcer for the 2022 PanAm Junior Championships in Indianapolis.

Vilardo founded and runs the Sports and Entertainment Research Center (SERC), which offers statistical and market research and analysis along with notes and previews.

He is also a regular contributor to That American F1 Show, a podcast on Formula 1 racing from a U.S. perspective, and has done statistical work for CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and the Big Ten Network.
